If you still have problems, try referring to Uninstall Office from a PC.
Once Office Installer launches, follow the instructions to remove Office from your computer. 
Put the Office installation disc into the CD drive and double-click Setup.exe. If you are unable to remove Office by the above means and you have the installation disc, try launching the Office Installer: The Microsoft Office suites can leave files on your computer that, even after an uninstall, interfere with subsequent installations. Double-click the older version to start the uninstall wizard, and follow the prompts to uninstall the program. Find the older version of Microsoft Office in the list of programs. If you have Microsoft Works, Encarta, or an independent component of Microsoft Office (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, or PowerPoint), remove it before attempting a new installation of Microsoft Office. 
Other Microsoft applications sometimes conflict with a Microsoft Office installation. UITS very strongly recommends that you uninstall any other versions of Microsoft Office on your Windows computer before installing a new version. This feature gives you the opportunity to see how others are editing your document on the screen while it's being completed in real time. Editing is now available in real time so that you can quickly finish any documents that you are creating without going back to proofread. This sometimes makes it easy to find the current page that you're working on instead of hunting among other tabs.Īnother feature that has been added to the program is a box labeled "Tell Me." You enter a comment in the box, and the program will automatically do the task for you instead of giving you instructions on how to complete the task. You will notice that this version has more color, especially along the top of the blank document. Instead of using Skype, the program uses Lync, which is different from the prior version of the software. These programs are ideal for students who work on projects for school or if you need to do something for the work while at home. Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive are included with Office Home and Student 2016. After the program is downloaded, you can easily view a blank document as well as tools used for graphs and spreadsheets. The installation process is rather long, but once you get the program up and running, it's fairly fast. All components of the program are easy to view, as everything is separated into the tasks that are associated with the activity, such as font types and colors. The new edition of Office Home and Student is easy to use.
